In Conjunction with
“2nd International Science and Mathematics in Academic Research Talks (2nd ISMART 2017) and “Life and Environmental Sciences Academic Forum (LEAF 2017)”
“Interdisciplinary Basic Sciences Research Leading to Advance Knowledge towards Sustainability“
Kampus UI Depok, Agustus 18-19, 2017
A sustainable world can be built by breaking through disciplinary boundaries, developing integrated scientific approach and interdisciplinary cooperation. Applied science and basic science are just as important for sustainable development and should not be competed with one another. The development of basic science requires a productive environment. Therefore, long-term national, regional and international investments are needed to advance fundamental knowledge.
In 2017, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UI is being the host of the event supported by the Commission for Basic Science-Indonesian Academy of Sciences (KIPD-AIPI) to hold an integrated scientific meeting among mathematics, physics, geosciences, chemistry, biology and environment disciplines that will involve many participants in the country and from other countries, from various universities, R & D Institutions and also societies. The name of the event is Basic and Applied Sciences Interdisciplinary Conference (BASIC).
The BASIC event aims to provide a network for academics and researchers in the fields of mathematics, natural and environmental sciences to share their ideas and experiences, update with current developments and encourage the collaboration between researchers or institutions that can improve quality and quantity of the research results. This scientific meeting is expected to encourage a critical and conducive academic atmosphere and develop a culture of reporting research results in the form of scientific articles. This year event will be conducted in conjunction with the 2nd International Science and Mathematics in Academics Research Talks 2017 (2nd ISMART 2017) and the Life and Environmental Sciences in Academics Forum 2017 (LEAF 2017). We welcome researchers, lecturers, graduate students to participate in this event.
